В джунглях военных аббревиатур, как и в настоящих джунглях, происходит эволюция. Возможность командования и управления войсками была необходимым условием войны ссамого ее возникновения. Отсюда появилось сокращение С2, командование и управление (Command and Control). С появлением систем связи (Communications) для передачи приказов С2 превратилось в СЗ.
